The winning "A Children's Play Structure,"
was designed by Richard Sullivan.
The winning playhouse will be built over the summer with donated materials and labor, and sold at an auction during Kapiolani Medical Center's fund-raising Crystal Ball on Nov. 2.
The Crystal Ball organizers had asked Architects Hawaii to design a playhouse for their auction. The company decided to stage a design competition among its staff, and have KO! fans choose which playhouse should be built.
The other designs are "My Surf Shop," designed by Doug Shoemaker; "General Store," designed by Ernest Shimizu; and "The Summer Palace," designed by Dennis Daniel.
Volunteers working on the Crystal Ball hope to get enough support and materials to build the other three designs as well, then auction them off at the benefit .
People wanting to help with this project should call Patti Ramirez at Architects Hawaii, 523-9636.

These three are designs by Doug Shoemaker, Ernest Shimizu and Dennis Daniel. All of the designers are with Architects Hawaii.
