He is survived by wife Helen; sons Carlos, Alvin, Wayne, Felix II, Greg, Rodney, Felix III, Alvin, Rene, Efren and Geraldo Alonzo, and Tony and Oscar Arante; daughters Lehua Matsuoka, Yolanda Redding, Leimomi Detillion, Annabelle Piez, Mary F. John F. Hammaker, 71, of Kona, Hawaii, a retail merchant and Realtor for Old Hawaii Realty and Phyllis Selrens Co., died June 10 in Honolulu. Hammaker, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served during World War II, is survived by wife Darlene; sons Robert, Jack and Tim; hanai daughter Carol Jurczak; mother Harriett Barr; sister Patricia Hocking; and eight grandchildren. Luis P. Jemenes, 95, of Wailuku, a retired Wailuku Sugar Plantation laborer and Aloha Poi Shop employee, died Saturday in Hale Makua. He is survived by wife Angelina. Akino Shigenaga, 87, co-founder of Hotel Kaimana, now known as the New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel, died June 5 in Kuakini Hospital. Shigenaga also owned and operated Venice Cafe.
