Tsunami play Rattlers twice

The Hawaii Tsunami winds up its two-week home stand this weekend with a pair of non-league games against the Reno Rattlers.

The Tsunami will play Reno tomorrow night at 7:30 at Aloha Stadium and then travel to Maui for the second game Sunday. The game will be played at War Memorial Stadium starting at 2:30 p.m.

The Tsunami are 3-4 in the Pro League of the United Systems of Independent Soccer Leagues and 3-5 overall.

Head coach Andrew Rowley hopes his team improves its standing before leaving for a three-day road trip next weekend to Arizona and California.

The Rattlers are 3-4 in the Select league and 5-5 overall. They blanked the California Jaguars, 2-0, in a Select League game last weekend as Kevin Morris scored twice for the Rattlers. Goalkeeper Brett Weaver was credited with the shutout.

The Tsunami can derive some satisfaction from splitting a pair of games last weekend against Yakima Reds goalkeeper Ken Freisz, listed this week as the Pro League's top performer in goal with a 0.89 goals per game average.
