"Bright and Daring" and "Feminine Elegance," displays of Japanese kimonos, on view through July 7. "Bright" examines a cross-cultural genre with bold designs that appeared in the first half of the 20th century. In contrast, "Elegance" features exquisite traditional patterns.

"Windows on Enchantment" opens onto the world of children's book illustration, through July 16. The exhibit's focus is on knights and ladies, dragons, wizards, medieval legends and Arthurian tales, in particular as they appear in the works of Trina Schart Hyman.

"Samurai Warriors" explores Japan's tradition of swordsmen who were also poets, artists and judges, through Aug. 4. With prints portraying episodes between the 1st and 16th centuries, garb and armor from the early 19th century, arms and other items from medieval Japan.

"Americans Abroad," prints of European cities and towns by American artists, 1880-1940, on view through Aug. 15.
