6th Annual Office Olympics: Teams of four co-workers compete in rubber-band archery, wastebasket free throw, coffee cup relays and other office sports in June, a benefit for the American Lung Association of Hawaii. These Olympics take place June 6 on Kauai, June 13 on Maui and in Hilo, and 6 to 9 p.m. June 20 at Aloha Tower Marketplace.
Teams pay a registration fee of $125 and ask friends to make pledges on behalf of their team. Motorcycles for MDA: Motorcyclists participate in a poker run at Moanalua Gardens 10 a.m. June 9 to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. In a poker run, riders draw a playing card at each of five checkpoints along the route; riders with the best hands win prizes.
