Punahou duo top ILH track

Punahou runners topped coaches' balloting for the Interscholastic League of Honolulu track and field all-star team.
Senior Jon Van Horn, who won the 100- and 200-meter dashes and anchored the winning relay teams at 400 and 1,600 meters in the ILH championships, earned recognition as boys' athlete of the year.
Freshman Eri Macdonald, the state cross-country champion, won the 200- and 800-meter races, and anchored the winning 800- and 1,600-meter relay teams.
Punahou coaches Dacre Bowen (boys) and Steve Link (girls) earned coach of the year honors for leading the Buffanblu to a sweep of the ILH championships and the state titles.
