Answer: According to her old acquaintance and employer, show buiness impresario Jack Cione, Crazy Legs passed away about 20 years ago.
After leaving Hawaii, she ran a boutique in San Francisco and specialized in manufacturing and merchandising children's clothing, he said.
"She worked here in Hawaii about eight years," Cione added.
In 1966, she and another stripper got arrested in front of a Waikiki night spot after an argument over a sewing machine. They were charged with disorderly conduct. The dancers had shared an apartment but they clashed over use of a sports car they owned jointly. Crazy Legs then moved out and accidentally took the other stripper's sewing machine with her, she told police.
In 1964, Crazy Legs caused a stir when she got into a city bus clad in a bikini. The driver refused to let her ride and she charged that he insulted her in front of other passengers. She said she was properly attired in beach wear and a heavy half-length coat.
The driver remained parked for 30 minutes while Crazy Legs refused to leave the bus. Police gave the driver a ticket for obstructing traffic.
"If somebody dressed like that tries to get on my bus again, I would do the same thing," the driver said later. "She wasn't dressed decently for riding a public bus. She was wearing a jacket, but it was unbuttoned and didn't hide anything."
