Inouye made the move online after getting swamped with pleas from constituents who wanted to get more information from him.
"In this time of federal and state cutbacks and pending legislation affecting the economic and social welfare of the people of my state, I wanted my constituents to know that I care about hearing from them," he said.
The page includes a fast search engine to keep you up-to-date on legislation Inouye is sponsoring, plus speeches he has given and entered into the Congressional Record.
Included in his constituent services section is detailed information on how to order a U.S. flag that has been flown over the Capitol, how to apply for a service academy nomination and help in arranging tours in Washington, D.C.
In his section on Hawaii links, Inouye includes one of the best noncommercial Hawaii sites, Virtual Hawaii, http://www.satlab.hawaii.edu/space/hawaii, a project of the University of Hawaii and NASA.
As for the rest of Hawaii's congressional delegation, cyberspace is still an unconquered realm.
