Hegino R. Acosta of Waipahu died Thursday in St. Francis-West Hospital. Acosta, 88, was born in the Philippines. He is survived by children Floriano Acosta, Gregoria Powers, Juana Acosta Balera, Simplicio Acosta, Benjamin Acosta, Elena Valencia, Joy Ranada and Eugene Ray Valencia; sisters Maria and Magdalena Padron, Concepcion Robles, Veronica Ramel and Sipriana Cadiz; 39 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Wake: 7 p.m. Tuesday at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, makai chapel. Service: 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel. Call after 8 a.m.

Dewey I. Bailey of Honolulu, died Sunday in Queen's Hospital. Bailey, 56, was born in Lavedo, W.Va. He is survived by wife Alice; daughter Stella Barnum; sons Russel R., Robert T., Richard J. and Ronnie J. Valdez and David W. Bailey; brother Derwent; sisters Dorothy Knecht and Lillian Roberts; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Service: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Borthwick Mortuary. Stanley T. Fukumoto of Las Vegas, formerly of Hawaii, died May 16 in Las Vegas. Fukumoto, 69, was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Yoneko "Shirley"; sons Kip and Yoneo; daughters Lynn Tomita and Dani Suzawa; brothers Harry T., Edward T. and Lawrence M.; sister Florence S. Mary M. Mendez of Honolulu died May 16 in Queen's Hospital. Mendez, 85, was born in Puerto Rico. She is survived by daughters Angeline R. Kamei Shimabukuof Waialae, formerly of Koko Head, died Saturday in St. Francis Hospice. Shimabuku, 91, was born in Hiyane, Okinawa.
