
Marshall, 46, said he will step down as vice-president of Maryknoll Schools and accept a position as assistant headmaster at South Kent School in Kent, Conn.
"I hate to leave Hawaii, but this is a wonderful opportunity," said Marshall.
The Pennsylvania native coached the Wolfpack to two boys' cross-country titles, a girls' cross-country title and a boys' track and field championship in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu.
Runners coached by Marshall have won the ILH boys' mile championship eight of the last nine years. At the state level, Matt Stevens has captured the last two state mile titles for Pac-Five.
Marshall's coaching also has produced the last two state 800-meter champions, Clayton Mills, in 1993 and 1994, and Matt Korpita, in 1995 and 1996.
South Kent is an all-boys boarding school of 128 students. Marshall said he won't be coaching there, although the campus has its own cross-country course.
The third annual Mufi Hanneman Basketball Jamboree will be free to the public.
However, donations will be accepted by the Gender Equity Sports Club, an organization formed to promote balance between female and male sports programs in Hawaii's schools.
The prep all-stars vs. Wahine contest will begin at 2 p.m.

If Sardinha, who will also represent Hawaii and the PONY League in Pine Bluff, Ark., June 23-30 in the national amateur all-star baseball tournament, makes the cut, he will practice Aug. 1-8 in Florida before flying to Sancti Spiritus, Cuba, for a series of games.
Utsumi is a 1982 graduate of the University of Hawaii and has been a teacher and coach at Lutheran since 1987. He has coached girls' volleyball and boys' and girls' basketball.
