Troy Barboza Law Enforcement Torch Run: Four-day Bank of Hawaii fund-raiser in memory of police officer Barboza begins 9 a.m. Saturday at the Turtle Bay Hilton. Run continues at Aloha Tower Marketplace at noon Sunday, and in Hawaii Kai on May 24, ending 8 a.m. May 25 at UH-ManoaÕs Rainbow Field. Entry fee $15. Benefits Hawaii Special Olympics and the Hawaii chapter of the U.S. Olympic Committee. Call 531-1888.

The run features Special Olympics and USOC torches; the U.S. torch may be carried for an additional fee. Also, Bankoh will host free lunchtime festivities with former U.S. Olympians May 24 at Tamarind Park, Bishop Square.

In-line skating: Stunt professionals from the Wheel Thing demonstrate the uses of their safety equipment, 10 a.m. Saturday, St. Francis Medical Center-West parking lot, Ewa Beach. A 90-minute skate lesson follows. Free. Register at 678-7262.

Israeli dancing: 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday and May 25, UH-ManoaÕs Studio 2. Instruction the first hour. Call 623-3603.

Wahiawa Hills hike: Tackle foothills, ridges and a water hole with John Hoover of the Hawaiian Trail and Mountain Club, 8 a.m. Sunday. Six miles. Costs $2. Call 595-2612.

Koko Marina Show and kayak race: Krash Kealoha, Kamalamalama and Halau Hula Pukaikapuaokalani entertain, 10

a.m. to noon Sunday, Koko Marina, Hawaii Kai. Free. Winning paddlers in the Bankoh Kayak Challenge should begin arriving about noon. Call 395-4737.

AT&T Salutes the Military Fun Day: The military and their immediate family enjoy family games and contests, entertainment by Willie K, hula halau, Warren Johnson & the Gator Creek Band and others, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Hale Koa Hotel and U.S. Army Museum. Military chits $2.50, from ITT offices.

Argentine tango workshop: With professional ballroom dancer Robert Stephens and dancers Marie Takazawa and Simeon Den, 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Ala Wai Clubhouse. Costs $25. Call 396-3073. StephensÕ America Back To Ballroom company is based in San Diego.
