Poster fits the Bill

Andrea Long

Andrea Long of Manana Elementary School won the first Bill of Rights Art Contest sponsored by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the Young Lawyers Division of the Hawaii State Bar Association with a drawing of Americans' right to vote.

Elizabeth Kent, ACLU Education Committee chairwoman, said that the kids who entered the contest feel the Bill of Rights allows them to live a life of freedom. The contest was open to Hawaii fifth graders.

Andrea, the daughter of Keith & Joy Ann Long, received a cash prize and other goodies.

All the entries will be on display in July at Honolulu Hale.
