University of Hawaii Commons Gallery, Art Building, 2535 The Mall, 956-6888. "Migration," a thesis exhibition of sculpture by Lynn C. Weiler, opens with a reception 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday. "96 Prints": The Honolulu Printmakers host an extravaganza of prints, food and wine tasting, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. May 17 at the Academy Art Center. For $96 each, the 96 participants in this benefit will sample signature appetizers and beverages and receive one of the 96 prints donated by 96 Hawaii artists; a drawing will determine the order of choice. Artistic Endeavors: Jim Franklin is forming a group of artists and crafters to fill 22,000 square feet of studio and show space, and to provide on-site services such as framing and printing. Call 988-1167.

"Pulp Fictions": The Texas Fine Arts Association is accepting slide submissions of art using paper as the support through May 20. The competition, for artists living in the United States, does not include photography. The juror will be Elizabeth A.T. Smith, curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. Entry fees are $24 general, for three slides; $5 each additional slide, to a maximum of 10.
