The competition, sponsored by the Kalihi Culture & Arts Society, will be conducted in three categories: kane, wahine and hui'ia (combined).

The parade, expected to last 90 minutes, will move from the Ewa end of Ala Moana Park, down Ala Moana Boulevard, through Waikiki on Kalakaua Avenue to Kapiolani Park.
There will floats, high school bands, marching units and costumed paraders.
