Cited by the Federal Election Commission for filing late financial reports, the party last month agreed to pay the commission $8,000.
Last summer, the party agreed to pay $30,000 after the commission found money had been illegally transferred between campaign accounts. The party is still paying off that fine.
In both cases, the mistakes occurred a few years ago. Party leaders say they have been corrected.
"There was a problem with the bookkeeping and records of the party a few years ago," said Chairman Richard Port. "These have been cleared up and we don't believe we'll be seeing any more."
A district judge has found there is sufficient evidence to send to Circuit Court for trial the first-degree robbery case against Darrell Ortiz, 22, and Rodney Balbirona, 18, charged with beating and robbing James M. Boreczky, a 33-year-old Chicago police officer in Hawaii on vacation as he waited at a bus stop on Kamehameha Highway after midnight April 22.Boreczky, who testified yesterday with two black eyes and steel plates in his face still numb from plastic surgery, had arrived April 15 to visit his brother, Bill, on the North Shore.
His injuries included fractures to his jaw, eye socket and nose, said Deputy Prosecutor Maurice Arrisgado. The officer also may need dental work to align his teeth and may suffer brain or spinal injuries, Arrisgado said.
"I pleaded with them not to beat me, but they continued to beat me," Boreczky said, adding that the kicking and hitting lasted about 15 seconds and that he was "100 percent sure" that the two attacked him.
Ortiz and Balbirona each face a 20-year prison term.
Arrisgado said the state agreed to prosecute a 13-year-old boy for fourth-degree theft instead of first-degree robbery for agreeing to testify against Ortiz and Balbirona.

Damage at 1513 Young St., which also houses L & L Drive- Inn, was estimated at $20,000.
