Sprinklers force seniors off sidewalk into street

Question: Can you get Honolulu Park Place, 1212 Nuuanu Ave., to adjust their water sprinklers again?

We're senior citizens who like to walk around 6 a.m. when it is cool. But the sprinkler spray covers the sidewalk and we have to walk in the street with cars. That's dangerous because some of us are not so agile any more.

Answer: The sprinklers, which operate on one-hour cycles, will be fixed and adjusted to start at 3 a.m., said Bryn James, general manager at Honolulu Park Place. If that doesn't restore the sidewalk to pedestrians, please call back.
