John Y.H. Ahn of Mililani, a Pearl Harbor, Public Works Center, Transportation Department, retiree, died April 18 in Wahiawa General Hospital.

Ahn, 77, was born in Ewa. He is survived by wife Yoneko; daughters Sidnee Schuster, and Lorna and Sandra Ahn; sisters Sarah Tapin, Mary Kendrick, Caroline Black and Nellie Lee; and three grandchildren.

Memorial service: 6 p.m. April 24 at Mililani Memorial Park Mortuary.

Clyde A.K. Aikau of Kamuela, Hawaii, a Honokaa High School student, will be remembered in a service April 26.

Aikau, 15, died April 13 after the utility vehicle he was in ran off the highway between Honokaa and Waimea.

Born in Hawaii, he is survived by father Solomon N. III; mother Linda Gillette; sisters Kamomi, Piilani, Kekai, Maile, Christy and Cheyanne; and brothers Dayven, Kawika, Arcas, Zane, Kane, Gerald, Kolo, Edward R. and Kepa.

Service: 10 a.m. April 26 at Haleiwa Harbor on Oahu. Call from 4 to 6 p.m. April 24 at his home on Uikeoni Street in Kamuela, Hawaii. Burial to follow at Waimea Bay on Oahu. Aloha attire.

Natsuko Arakawa of Kahului died April 20 in Hale Makua.

Arakawa, 82, was born in Pulehu, Maui. She is survived by sons Steve and Wallace; daughters

Katey Liu, Gladys Holcombe and Anna Shigaki; 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Asae Baba of Hilo, an Olaa Sugar Co. retiree, died April 19 in Hilo Hospital.

Baba, 96, was born in Kumamoto, Japan. She is survived by sons Thomas "Tom" and Haruo; daughter Yuriko Hayashikawa; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Leo V. Donohoeof Honolulu, a retired Coast Guard captain, died April 18 in Tripler Hospital.

Donohoe, 67, was born in Pittsburgh. He commanded U.S. Coast Guard Air Station at Barbers Point from 1971 to 1973. His 30-year career included commands in North Carolina and New Jersey. He retired to Honolulu in 1980.

He is survived by sons John P., Gerald M. and Kevin J.; daughters Kathleen M., Bertille and Rosanne T. Donohoe, and Jeanne D. Clendenin; brother Patrick J.; sister Rosanne T.; and eight grandchildren.

Kazuko Ishimoto of Whitmore Village died April 17 in Torrance, Calif.

Ishimoto, 78, was born in Paumalu. She is survived by daughters Elaine Nakatsu, Marion Kazama and Judy Yoshida; brothers Tamotsu, Atsumu and Harold A. Kajiwara; sisters Kimiko Katayama, Setsuko Nakamura, Nobuko Tsue, Nancy Yamamoto and Alice Niimi; and four grandchildren.

Gertrude J. Kahaulelio of Waianae died April 18 at home.

Kahaulelio, 81, was born in Pennsylvania. She is survived by husband Joseph H.

Sumiko Kawachi of Hilo, a retired Garden Exchange Ltd. and Hilo Surplus Store salesclerk, died April 21 in Hilo Hospital.

Kawachi, 71, was born in Kukuihaele, Hawaii. She is survived by husband Torao; sons Neal and Guy; daughter Charlene; brothers Satoshi, Takashi and Robert Kashimoto; and sisters Masako Kawauchi, Chitsuko Asuka and Yaeko Honma.

Ernest E. "Ernie" Kingsley of Honolulu, retired owner and operator of Servend of Hawaii, died April 19 in St. Francis Hospice.

Kingsley, 62, was born in Seattle. He is survived by wife JoAnn; son Kenneth E.; daughter Paula; stepdaughter Jaci M. Murakami; sister Nancy Cheney; and mother Jean.

Donald T. Kitsu of Moiliili, an R.W.C. Construction employee, died April 17 in St. Francis Hospital.

Kitsu, 59, was born in Honolulu. He is survived by brothers Thomas T., Stanley Y., Walter Y. and Lawrence M.; and sisters Alice H. Murakami and Eleanor S. Kitsu.

Yachiyo Locquiao of Makaweli, Kauai, died April 20 in the Mahelona Hospital.

Locquiao, 80, was born in Makaweli, Kauai. She is survived by son James; daughters Dolores Visitation and Nora Pang; brothers Sadamo, Yoruzo and Tetsuo Yamamoto; sister Yokio Sakai; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

William K.W. Pang of Honolulu, former owner of the Modern Shoe Store and a vendor at the Kodak Hula Show, died April 29 in St. Francis Hospital.

Pang, 82, was born in Honolulu.

He is survived by wife Lily Y.S.; sons Frederick M.H. and Norman M.W.; daughter Barbara Y.K. Nowdesha; brothers Dan K.D. and Clyde K.K.; sister Doreen Ching; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mathilda F. Pestana of Pleasanton, Calif., formerly of Wahiawa, died April 18 in Pleasanton.

Pestana, 97, was born in Hauaku, Hawaii.
