Agnes de Ville called Jose Limon's "Missa Brevis" one of the "great achievements in American dance," and who are we to argue with the actress who played the mother on "Bewitched"?
Dances We Dance has been trail-bossing 20 Hawaii dancers from a variety of companies in "Brevis," to unreel 8 p.m. tomorrow and Saturday at Leeward Community College Theatre. Clay Taliaferro is dancing the principle role, which is set to Zoltan Kodaly's "Missa Brevis in Tempore Belli."
The program also features two premieres, Fritz Ludin's "Four Seasons" and a commissioned work by Taliaferro. Dancers include Holly Chung, Peter-Rockford Espiritu, Betty Jones, Gregg Lizenbery, John Wat and Debra Yamaki. Admission is $18; $14 for students and seniors. Information: 537-2152. (Wait a minute. Wasn't that Agnes Moorehead in "Bewitched"?)
