Shirota to key on development at credit union

The new corporate development manager at the Hawaii State Employees' Federal Credit Union will focus on expanding services.

Lisa Shirota said, "We're preparing the credit union for the future with the best financial products. We want convenience and accessibility to members while maintaining our warm and friendly service."

The credit union began a home equity line of credit in January, and this month will add loan draft access to the service so members can get the money easier.

Shirota joined the credit union in 1992 as a marketing specialist. She also has worked at the University of Hawaii Foundation, Stryker Weiner Associates Inc. and Professional Communications.

She earned a bachelor's degree in journalism at the University of Hawaii.

The Hawaii State Employees' Federal Credit Union serves 45,200 members.
